Roadtrip

This is the second year me and my husband have decided to take a road trip out into 'the wilderness' after all the craziness of Christmas and before the New Year's celebrations. We've decided we should definitely make this a tradition and I would recommend this to everyone.

Especially since we've been living in New York for 6 months, getting back to nature (or just somewhere remotely green) and quiet (no dogs, babies, beeping horns, sirens, drunk people, bin men at 4 in the morning etc etc etc) was something we both needed to reset before the new year began.

The place we stayed in was on Airbnb and was incredible. A cabin in the woods with a wood burning stove and two friendly neighborhood cats. Perfection.

This place had such a heavy silence and the lake that we looked out on was frozen at the time; I really felt like I was in a film and it inspired me to start writing the book novel story I'm working on at the moment.

Place: Stopped off at Narrowsburg, the cabin is in Forestburgh and we stopped off at diner in Barryville on the way home.

It is a mix of articles, fiction and reviews I have written. Sometimes videos of me singing and playing an instrument and you'll often see my own photography popping up.
