Me & My Ukelele

My Dad is always tinkering with instruments. Last time I went back home to the UK he taught me a few chords on the Ukelele per my insistence, even though 10 minutes later I was ready to pack it in and cross Ukulele off the long list of things I will NEVER be able to do (which includes poached eggs, reading maps & twitter).

After a bit of perseverance, I was able to manage to strum a clunky version of Foundations by Kate Nash. Then I came back to my new home here in Brooklyn and that was that aka I didn't have any $$$'s for things like Ukuleles. #therentistoodamnhigh

But then I get this lovely little beauty from my Dad in the post mail.

I finally got the courage to record and post a video. As soon as I learnt not to look at the strings every second of the song.

So here it is:
The Police - So Lonely + The Calling - Wherever You Will Go

(Please excuse: I sliced my middle finger open last night and had to wear a plaster band aid
& also try to avoid eye contact with my laptop at all costs.)

((ALSO I have no idea how to correctly spell ukulele/ukulele))

Whats going on?

This is my online outlet for my creative juices.
It is a mix of articles, fiction and reviews I have written. Sometimes videos of me singing and playing an instrument and you'll often see my own photography popping up.
